Job Description

Job Purpose:

Accomplishes sales of software and IT consulting by researching, generating, and developing sales opportunities; implementing sales plans; acquiring indirect sales channels for our proprietary software products.

Duties:

  • Generate leads, explore own professional network, effectively manage sales funnel.
  • Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
  • Supports acquisition of indirect sales channels for our proprietary software products.
  • Achieves sales operational objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying trends; determining system improvements; recommending selling prices and software licensing models;
  • Meets sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; initiating corrective actions. monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
  • Accomplishes sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5 years in selling software and IT services, proven track record of sales achievements
  • Good understanding of financial service providers
  • An existing network of contacts in the financial sector (banking is a plus)
  • Good understanding of software solutions for banking such as portfolio management systems, reporting, risk management, etc.
  • Education as a software engineer is a plus
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions and client reporting software and processes is a plus
  • Flexible, mobility (ready to work in the whole of Switzerland, later Europe may be required as well)
  • Languages: proficiency in French, German, English
  • Other: Financial Planning and Strategy, Marketing Concepts, Product Positioning, Sales Planning, Competitive Analysis, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Client Relationships, Creative Services
  • Swiss national or Swiss permit B or C
